Embotelladora Andina SA, representative of Coca-Cola in Chile, commissioned a Scepter of Distribution, in the commune of Maipu aimed at supplying the south-west of Santiago.

The main operations are being carried out the classification and storage of goods, loading and unloading trucks, sales and administration activities and related to them as inspecting cargo and heavy trucks, garbage management, coordination of routes, liquidation sales Daily, etc.

The requirement of image, Coca-Cola for being an internationally renowned, was part condition in the design of the project. It was looking so, give the work a sharp expressive burden consistent with the image of the product.

It was a project, the intent of the owners to develop a new concept in logistics warehouse in order to modernize and improve the efficiency of the operation.
In this way it was proposed to integrate into a single large vessel the vessel, loading and unloading trucks, the inspection of cargoes and the parking of trucks inspected and, in a double symmetry in order to operate in four quadrants equally as demand . Considerably reducing the times of operation, the man-hours, the time of trucks in operation with consequent saving fuel, reducing noise pollution and exhaust gas.

The building should cover parking for 50 trucks, divided into two of its facades, without the use of pillars in order to smooth its operation, resulting in flights of 18 meters. light. Was resolved through metal cerchas reticulate of continuous curve and precast concrete pillars that on the basis of a central underpinning, managed to offset the flights of the extremes like the wings of an airplane, leading in turn to rain water edges of the building.

The layout of the buildings responds to the different characters of the corps program. It has been separated from the reservoir areas and administrative services staff in order to avoid compromising the flexibility and dynamics of growth.

The bodies of offices and personnel services are highlighted by contrast of materiality and scale, in which the livability and quality of the spaces are achieved through the scale, lighting and sound expressed in its materiality in the light of concrete and glass.
