SCDA Architects is a multi-disciplinary architectural practice established in 1995. this office curently employs a staff of 55, comprising of architects. it has a holistic approach to Architecture that includes full interior design,landscape and planing services. The practice has extensive experience with private residences, resort hotels,apartments and commercial buildings and is working on projects both locally and regionally.

Formally, the house is split into two rectangular boxes. The black, zinc-clad southern box encloses living, kitchen and outdoor spaces, and cantilevers out beyond its ground floor enclosure to capture 270° Port Phillip Bay views. The discrete activities of the house, such as sleeping and bathing, are accommodated with the separate masonry northern wing.

There are no doors in the building, but there are six shutters, two for the public on the short ends of the building and four for the animals, two on either long side of the building.Built on the remaining foundation, the wooden box has an open facade system for the upper half of the building, allowing the wind to ventilate the whole farm continuously.
