A single copper construction was created amidst the diversity of back façades with their richness of extensions. The copper was applied in folded horizontal lengths. Façade openings on the first floor and the balcony above can be completely closed off with hardwood shutters. In addition to the two-storey house extension, the interior was also completely rebuild. All rooms can be accessed from an open, spacious stairwell in the centre of the house.

Chiamus Partner was commissioned to master plan and design a resort town on Queen’s Island, in Cebu. The challenge was to create a beautiful place, without either patronizing or destroying the natural scenery of the site. The organic master plan and the organic shape of the architecture was both inspired by nature, and a reflection of available technology and local materials.
