This Modern Villa follows the linear structure of the landscape. The black zinc of the outer walls is applied in long, horizontal strips with folded seams. Due to the sheen and somewhat uneven finish of the material, the house reacts in a subtle way to the colours of the Dutch sky. Thanks to the dark, subdued colour, the house blends in with the landscape more than the big farmhouses with their orange roofs. The rooms of the house, with their large windows, are oriented towards the surrounding area. Each room has a strong focus on one of the points of the compass. Only the kitchen has a multiple orientation and functions as the central hub of the house. All the rooms are accessible from this central space, some of them via open staircases.

The centre city of this plan consists of a circular port with luxurious houses along the quay. The port with the 70 houses give in this way shape to the entrance of the district. To mark the circle, on both the beginning and the ending an apartment complex of 8 levels is placed. Cars can be parked underneath an elevated deck in front of the houses. The houses have their own individual character by using different materials and sections. There are two standard houses: one with a space of 1,5 floor on the waterside, and one with a space of 1,5 floor on the garden side. The façades cladding is changing by house: there are three types of glossy bricklaying, zinc and copper. The colours are changing slightly from bright to dark.

A single copper construction was created amidst the diversity of back façades with their richness of extensions. The copper was applied in folded horizontal lengths. Façade openings on the first floor and the balcony above can be completely closed off with hardwood shutters. In addition to the two-storey house extension, the interior was also completely rebuild. All rooms can be accessed from an open, spacious stairwell in the centre of the house.
