The Cocoon building is located on the outskirts of Zurich in the Seefeld Quarter,lying on the superb hillside with optimal sunshine and views overlooking Zurich Lake and the mountains on the horizon. The unique quality of the site exists due to its extraordinary and park like landscape surroundings. The Cocoon building lies gently nestled within this green oasis surrounded on the three sides by majestic old tress opening itself up to the South, providing a wonderful view overlooking the Lake and mountains. The elliptical building elegantly spirals out its landscape, forming an autonomous building sculpture. A stainless steel mesh screen wraps the building like a veil creating a modest sense of elegance and privacy while simultaneously creating an distinctive identity.

The glass has a stippled surface that radiates light,forming a shimmering veil around the concrete structure. At night, the channel glass is illuminated from within. On the south facade are photovoltaic panels arranged in the same patterns.
